Adding value through design: developer offers buyers the unique opportunity to customise their interiors with top designer

Buyers will be able to customise their interiors from handmade tiles to leather wall coverings under the guidance of one of Sydney’s most sought-after interior designers, in a new offering from AVID Property Group’s (AVID) new luxury boutique terrace style project, The Rathbone in the eclectic and vibrant inner city Sydney suburb of Surry Hills.

Acclaimed interior designer Kirsten Stanisich formerly of SJB Interiors and now Director of Richards Stanisich is collaborating with buyers at the new $60 million development, The Rathbone, to deliver bespoke apartments in the prestige market.

“I spent time thinking about what type of personalities The Rathbone buyers might have, and what might appeal to them,” Ms Stanisich said.

“We typically work with our private clients to design and develop a custom design scheme, which can add quite a lot of extra cost to the construction and fit out of any new apartment – so this offer from AVID is giving our clients a completely unique experience in that they can choose some of the key elements of their terrace from the start of their journey,” Ms Stanisich said.

For a limited time, new buyers of The Rathbone luxury development will receive a free, one-on-one private consultation with Kirsten Stanisich herself. There are four additional schemes that can be customised to suit purchasers, including ‘Handmade’, ‘Stone’, ‘Timber’ and ‘Design’ concept schemes.

“TheHandmade’ scheme, for example, offers luxury handmade tiles, wicker wall coverings and antiqued stone and honed terrazzo – this interior is all about serenity and not the trend of mass-produced fast interiors,” Ms Stanisich said.

“Luxury buyers want the highest level of detail when it comes to deciding on the finishes, accessories and hardware for their residence, which is not often possible when it comes to buying new apartments.

“This really is a unique offer, and not really something we’ve seen done before from other developers in Sydney – we’re thrilled to be a part of creating something really beautiful and bespoke at The Rathbone, right here in Surry Hills.”

The Rathbone will feature high-end fixtures including fully integrated Fisher & Paykel refrigerators, Miele appliances with integrated finishes, stained oak floorboards and electro black finished tapware, joinery pulls and fixtures.

AVID Property Group CEO Cameron Holt said The Rathbone is setting a new benchmark in meeting demand from buyers with a more tailored experience.

“We’ve worked with some of the best local designers on The Rathbone to develop an innovative project that is both sensitive to the historic terrace housing and heritage that Surry Hills is famous for while still setting a new benchmark for architecture in the area,” Mr Holt said.

“Buyers want a space that is reflective of who they are and the lifestyle they want to live – this experience givens them the opportunity to capture that in a truly unique way, under the guidance of one of Sydney’s top interior designers.”
